Excellent. I will be here for the next six hours, barring an emergency that requires my attention. You can reach me at these coordinates.
[ And then there were coordinates, which will pop her into a bakery in rural France. Named Monsieur Biscuits. ]
As for France, is a location known as a country. Earth is separated into numerous arbitrary divisions called countries, which are based on historical geographical and cultural boundaries. Typically each has its own government. This is one of the reasons for the extreme diversity of the human species. By separating themselves into groups, they develop different philosophies towards life and often miss the similarities between one another. It is fascinating to observe as an outsider.
Unfortunately, yes. Quite often, in fact. Their differing values and priorities bring them into disagreement which can turn to violence. However, they are just as likely to ally and celebrate their differences as they are to fight over them. It is one of the aspects of humanity I find most difficult to predict.
But they are the same species. I do not understand. Is it religious? Kree conflicts come over disagreements over who should be the leader of our military, and over belief in faith and prophecy.
The conflicts can be religious in nature. Though often the true nature of the war is for the benefit of a smaller number of the nation, who use religion as a rhetoric device to control the majority. Species are often at odds within themselves. My species underwent great turmoil between my people, the G'arrunn or Green Martians, and the A'ashenn, or White Martians, for example. But battles between humans can often be as intense as wars between different planets entirely.
And yet they are also capable of acts of kindness and culture that can leave me speechless. They are truly a species of extremes.
They are a strange species, but then again, all are alien to others. I imagine you would have just as many questions and confusion if you were to live on Mars.
Indeed it is. And that I, an orphaned stranger from another world, could find family amongst the Earthling is one reason I know that for all their flaws, they are worth protecting.
I am sincerely glad you see things that way. Many visitors from other worlds struggle to see the wonder of Earth and its people. I am most fortunate to have the chance to experience so much of it.

Though I understand racial differences on color. Blue-Skinned Kree have often found ourselves as... lower in status than Pink-Skinned.
